About the CIKC

CIKC was funded from 2007-2012 as a centre of excellence for low temperature processing using materials, such as polymers, advanced liquid crystals, metal oxides and nanostructures for applications in computers, displays and communications.

CIKC’s mission was to accelerate the commercial exploitation of early stage university technology in partnership with industry – bridging the gap between academic research and commercial exploitation.

CIKC was part of the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Large-Area Electronics and was one of the partners in the European COLAE project.
